The Forks

Yesterday I was at the Forks because I was helping my mom and my aunt cater a dinner. I just love the Forks because there are always so many interesting people there. There are always musicians, entertainer guys, clowns, and the drawing guy (a guy who walks around and draws people). There was a dog show or something going on last night, so there were a lot of dogs there. We saw this HUGE dog, I'm not sure what kind of dog it was, but it was massive! It was a little over three feet tall, weighed about 160lbs, and was not even two years old! It was probably one of the coolest dogs I've ever seen.

As for the dinner. It was for the Canadian Food Grains Bank. It went well, despite just a few little dilemmas. The power went out at one point, but we had all the food cooked and prepared at home already. The mic was a bit of a problem then though. In the end it all worked out just fine.

I am on my last strech of school. My last acual school day was on Tuesday, but my last exam is tomorrow. I had my science exam on Wednesday and I had my Bible exam today. The science one was pretty easy, but the Bible was a little tricky. I just studied the wrong stuff. I have French tomorrow, which I think will be easy because the questions are in English and we are allowed to have a French/English dictionary with us. I am soo ready to be done!

Camp is coming really soon too! I'm pretty excited for it, but also a little nervous because it's my first time at an actual camp camp, not a sports camp. I'm pretty sure it will be a good time. I also cannot wait for Volleyball camp. I'm going with a bunch of friends and I think we will have an awesome time together. Folk Fest is almost here also. It's gonna be awesome this year. :)

Beautiful.

Today was a beautiful day! It was sunny then cloudy and then it stayed sunny for the rest of the day. It's kind of too bad that I was inside most of the day. It was a good day though. There was a shower for Paul and Melissa's baby, Nicholas today at the church. It was really fun and there was lots of good desserts. :) I enjoyed it.

I was on the Winnipeg Folk Festival website (http://www.winnipegfolkfestival.ca/) today and it's only 19 days until Folk Festival. They also have the daytime schedules up!! I can't wait! It's going to be a good time! I really do talk about this a lot on my blog, but it is an awesome part of my summer and it's so much fun. It's like a little mini vacation, but only about 5 minutes away from my house. You basically just sit there and listen to good music and eat good junky food all weekend. It's awesome.

Right now, I am sitting here at the computer in really comfy clothes and my MOM is mowing the lawn!! That's a shocker! My dad just taught her today! The window's are open so I can smell the freshly cut grass and it smells so good. It's so peaceful out here in the country. I think that everyone should live in the country for a while. The sun is setting slowly and the house is casting a big shadow almost to the road. It's so beautiful.

Truly a beautiful day!

Again...

Here I am sitting at the computer, again. It's raining outside, again. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, again. Sure the rain is refreshing when it's dry, but having rain for almost two weeks straight! We did have a beautiful weekend though. But now it's raining....again.
This weekend my aunt Didy and uncle Jake drove here to Winnipeg with my grandparents. Though they didn't stay long, it was good to see them again. My oma and opa left this morning. It was a short but good visit.

I am pretty pumped about camp at the beginning of July. I think it will be really fun and a great learning experience.

Last night at youth, I found out that Paul and Melissa, two of my youth leaders, had their baby. His name is Nicholas and he is VERY cute, and looks like Paul (I just saw pictures). :) I can't wait to see him and hold him. Ahh, I love babies. They're so joyful and warm and snuggly.

School is coming to a close. That is a good thing, for me at least. I can't wait for the summer. Although exams are coming, I am excited for them to be over. This summer's going to be awesome. Here are just a few highlights:
  • Bird River
  • Folk Festival
  • Volleyball camp
  • Swimming
  • Just being able to relax and not do anything!

Sunday is the youth wrap up party. We are going swimming at my aunt Linda and uncle Wes' house and having a barbeque (I think). I'm pretty sure it's going to be a ton of fun.

Well, that's all my news. I hope you readers all have good week!
